Fitting

  1. Stand the bicycle on level ground. Pick either the front fork or the rear seat stay — whichever gives clear access to the tire.
  2. Hook the mounting arm over the fork leg or stay so the drive roller sits against the tire tread, roughly level with the axle.
  3. Close the tension lever until it locks. The roller should sit firmly against the tire with no visible gap.
  4. Spin the wheel by hand. It should turn freely with light resistance and no rubbing against the frame or mudguard.

The roller needs bare contact with the tire. Full wrap-around mudguards cover the contact point — mount on the other wheel, or remove that guard section.

Riding

  • Press the power button once. Assist engages only while you are pedalling and cuts at 25 km/h.
  • Your brakes and gears are unaffected. Ride and brake exactly as you would without the unit.
  • In the wet, assist is deliberately reduced — a friction drive has less grip on a wet tire. Allow more distance.
  • Check tire pressure weekly. An underinflated tire reduces both range and roller grip.

Charging

  • Detach the unit and charge indoors using the supplied charger and a standard wall socket.
  • A full charge from empty takes about three hours.
  • Charge on a hard surface, not on fabric or a bed, and do not cover the unit while charging.
  • Use only the supplied charger. Third-party chargers void the warranty and are the most common cause of battery damage.

Do not charge a unit that has been dropped hard, submerged, or that is visibly swollen or damaged. Contact us instead.

Storage

  • Store indoors at room temperature. Never leave the unit in direct sun or in a parked car through the afternoon — sustained heat is what shortens lithium cell life.
  • For storage longer than a month, leave it at roughly half charge and top it up every couple of months.
  • Keep it dry. If it has been out in heavy rain, wipe it down and let it dry fully before charging.

Security

  • Take the unit with you. It comes off in seconds and fits in a daypack — that is the security model.
  • Do not leave it mounted on a bicycle parked in public, even briefly.
  • Record your serial number, printed on the underside of the unit, and keep it somewhere other than on the unit itself.

Care & service

  • Wipe the roller with a dry cloth when it picks up road grit. Do not use solvents on it.
  • Never pressure-wash the unit or submerge it.
  • Inspect the mounting arm and tension lever monthly for play or cracking.
  • There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Do not open the housing — contact us instead.
